The Fellowship of
Christian Athletes (FCA) is touching millions of lives...
one heart at a time. Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes
has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college,
high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of
athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest
Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local
communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a
difference for Christ.

KHS's Huddle Leader Chad Holmes: |

In
the summer of 2007, I became involved with FCA and have been the
FCA Huddle Leader since the fall of 2007. Myself and KHS Staff members Mr. Brown and JV Head Football Coach Troutman
have working to build up FCA to have athletes think of Him in
all that they do not just on Sundays mornings or Thursday
mornings when we meet.
I have been a part of Kathleen Baseball since
the spring 2005. I came to KHS to coach when I was
teaching elementary school, but joined the staff at KHS as a math teacher
in the fall of 2006. I then served as head coach for the
2007/08 and 2008/09 school years. Before coming to Florida, I was a pitching
coach for one year at Salina South High School in Kansas. I
played one year varsity baseball at that high school and then
went to Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas. I became
a pitcher in college and worked hard to get better each day.
Because of my hard work and achievements, I was asked to go to
Europe in 1998 and 2000 to play for USAthletes International. I have lived in Lakeland since July 2002, and I have
been blessed with a wonderful wife named Yadira since Dec. 2005.
My wife and I are blessed with three wonderful children. |
