(Alumni of KHS and KHS Hall of
Famer) is a former
relief pitcher in
Major League Baseball who played for the
New York Yankees (1990-1991),
Baltimore Orioles (1992-1998, 2000-2001) and
Los Angeles Dodgers (1999-2000). He batted
and threw right-handed. After a five year
absence from professional baseball, Mills made a
return in 2007 and played AA Minor League Baseball. In his
12-Big League seasons career, Mills posted a
39-32 record with 456
strikeouts and a 4.12
ERA in 474
games.In 2008, Mills served as pitching coach for the Oneonta Tigers, the Class-A short-season affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
I have been coaching and teaching at Kathleen High School since
the fall of 2006. I was the head varsity baseball coach at
Schaeffer Academy in Rochester, Minnesota for six years. I also
served as head varsity basketball coach for seven years. I
graduated from Southeastern University. My wife, Tammy, and I
have been married since 1984 and have three wonderful children.
Aaron, my oldest is a student at Southeastern. Eric is a
prospective 2010 graduate of KHS, and Katelyn is a fifth grader
at one of the best elementary schools around!
